| News:
Both Daniel Bernhardt and action legend Chuck Norris have signed up to star in the Millenium/Nu Image Films production, 'The Cutter'. Production began this month (November 2004), telling the story of a detective who comes to the aid of an old diamond cutter. Written by newcomer Bruce Haskett and directed by William Tannen, this film marks Chuck Norris' return to feature-film acting and based on this, rumor has it that the film may even be pushed for a theatrical release. Also starring Tracy Scoggins (Monica on both 'The Colbys' & 'Dynasty', 'Babylon 5') and Dean Cochran (who played Daniel Bernhardt's brother in 'Mortal Kombat: Conquest'), the movie will be executively produced by Avi Lerner, who's been at the helm of Daniel's latest complete production, 'Nature Unleashed: Tornado' and co-produced by Les Weldon (writer of Jean Claude Van Damme's 'Replicant').
Plot Synopsis (Courtesy of Chuck Norris' Website): John Shedherd is not a cop's cop. He used to be, but he killed too many bad guys when he was a homicide detective with the LAPD, and the city wanted him gone. So did the bad guys. Now he's a private investigator specializing in finding people who don't want to-or can't-be found. Zach is a free-lance killer, with more identities than Interpol, the FBI, the CIA, and the Mossad know about. He is hired by a former Nazi SS colonel, Gustav Speerman, now passing as Simon Heschel in Los Angeles, to find an ancient Hebrew artifact known as Aaron's Breastplate, which contain two of the most fabled diamonds known to man... "The Cutter" is a love story wrapped inside a lightning-paced action mystery that uncovers secrets from World War II and the present day, finally culmination in an exciting, heart-wrenching finale that doesn't let you catch your breath until the credits have ended. |
